TN IECMH ECHO EBHV Session
Date: July 20, 2026
Time: 11:30am CST / 12:30pm EST
Description:
In this session, we will explore how assessments can serve as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen relationships with families in home visiting. Together, we will examine common challenges that home visitors and families may encounter throughout the assessment process and discuss practical, relationship-based strategies for introducing, administering, and reflecting on assessments with empathy, cultural humility, and sensitivity. Rather than viewing assessments as simply a requirement, we will highlight how they can foster attuned interactions, elevate family strengths, support shared understanding, connect caregivers with meaningful resources, and help tell each family's unique story. Participants will leave with practical knowledge and skills to integrate evidence-based assessment practices in ways that build trust, honor family experiences, and promote positive outcomes for children, caregivers, and home visitors alike.
Whether you’re new to home visiting or bring years of experience, you’ll leave with fresh insights, space to reflect, and practical strategies to help every participant feel seen, supported, and genuinely welcomed.
This virtual community is open to ALL home visitors in Tennessee!
