HELD: Early Relational Health at Every Level

Two Part Series Overview:
Relationships are the active ingredient in healthy
development — and the same serve-and-return
that builds a baby's brain also sustains the
practitioner, the supervisor, and the system
around them. We name the mechanism once,
then follow it all the way up. This is what lets us
keep the baby in the room even when we reach
systems and policy, and it turns "parallel
process" from an abstraction into the organizing
idea of the whole series.
Presenter: Jennifer Drake-Croft
Jennifer Drake-Croft, MSSW, IECMH-E®, is an Assistant
Professor at Georgetown University’s Thrive Center for
Children, Families, and Communities. Her work focuses on
workforce development, innovation, and systems change in
Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) and Early
Relational Health (ERH), with expertise spanning child trauma,
child abuse prevention, and child-centered policy. Jennifer
serves as a Faculty Director of Georgetown’s IECMH Consultation Certificate Program and contributes to the Thrive Incubator, partnering with practitioners and communities to design and scale practical solutions that support all children
and families to thrive.
