TN IECMH ECHO EBHV Session

Date: May 12, 2026

Time: 11:30am CST / 12:30pm EST

Description:

This session will continue the conversation about how to approach hard conversations with families. Home visitors enter the family's space, which can lead to more pressing conversations that require even more delicate positioning. This session will review how to prepare for a hard conversation when possible, how to manage an unexpected hard conversation, how to regulate in the moment utilizing the FAN approach (Facilitating Attuned Interactions), and how to care for yourself after a hard conversation. Facilitating Attuned Interactions is an evidence-based approach that supports practitioners in reading cues from both parents and themselves to guide empathetic and appropriate responses.

Whether you’re new to home visiting or bring years of experience, come with your knowledge and experience to share and leave with fresh insights, space to reflect, and practical strategies to help every participant feel seen, supported, and genuinely welcomed.

This virtual community is open to ALL home visitors in Tennessee!
