Date: June 28th, 2024
Time: 9am - 11am CST/10am - 12pm EST
Description:
As summer is arriving, come join us as we learn about how the outdoors impacts children and can be supported in our everyday work. There are many benefits to movement at a young age and it is flourshed when children and caregivers can step outside. In this training, professionals will learn the importance of time spent outside, how the outdoor environment enhances development of children, and the joy of moving our bodies while in nature. Professionals will learn strategies, skills, and play tools from a Pediatric Physical Therapist, targeting free movement, a nature focused environment, and outdoor play. Additionally, professionals will glean education on incorporating nature into skill building when the option to be outdoors is not available and/or accessible.
