Preparedness for Emergency Response in Tennessee Toolkit (PERTT): An Early Relational Approach- Recovery in Practice

In Part 3 of the Emergency Response Toolkit Training, participants will focus on recovery following emergencies, with an emphasis on healing, resilience, and restoring a sense of safety for infants, young children, and their caregivers. This session highlights how to implement recovery practices that are developmentally appropriate, relationship-based, and trauma-informed.

Through practical strategies, guided reflection, and real-world application, child welfare professionals and foster families will strengthen their ability to support emotional well-being, rebuild routines, and foster secure connections in the aftermath of crisis. Participants will leave with tools to promote resilience and support long-term recovery for both children and the adults who care for them.
